Volunteering
as a CareerFair Helper
Murdoch University is once again hosting its annual Careers Fair on March 3 2009. The Fair provides the opportunity students to explore the career options available to them in the Public and Private Sectors while affording them a chance to discuss face to face what employers are looking for during the Graduate Recruitment and employment process.
In order to make this day a success we need help! ACE is offering 50 students the opportunity to become part of our Career Fair Volunteer Team. As a Career Fair Volunteer you will receive a gift from the Alumni shop, an official Certificate of Appreciation and an invitation to attend the end of fair Cocktail Party at the Murdoch Tavern where you will have exclusive access to all the many employers you have been assisting through-out the day. Sounds tempting?
We need volunteers for a variety of jobs including:
- Marketing and promotions assistance in the lead-up to Career Fair 2009. As a Marketing & Promotions Volunteer you’ll assist with all aspects of promoting our fair including public speaking, leaflet and poster distribution, Mascot promotions (Our cute & Cuddly Career Quenda!) and the important task of greeting our guests as they arrive on the day.
- Fair Day Helpers. As a Fair Day Helper you’ll assist with myriad activities on the day including booth set-up assistance, food and drink distribution, staffing the ACE information tent, Programme distribution and general assistance to employers and students.
We are looking for 50 enthusiastic, confident, patient and professional ambassadors…does this sound like you? If so - sign up now...
Be Quick – these positions always go fast!
